Final Day

Hi again! It's Fletcher back again writing for our final day 😢. 

We got to the hotel just after midnight and went up to our rooms. The boys' room hung out for maybe 10 minutes, then started showers. It was so nice to clean off after one of the muckier sites and a 3-day train ride. A couple people slept, and a couple people stayed up. I stayed up through the night in order to hopefully sleep on both flights. We got the sleepers up at 5 am for a 5:45 meeting downstairs. We fit into 2 Ubers and the airport shuttle and got checked in at the airport. We blitzed through security and got to our gate. We waited in line for Tim Hortons and got breakfast there. We then boarded, and I took a BIG nap. I was asleep the whole flight; I didn't feel takeoff or landing.

We got off the plane, went through customs and immigration very easily, and then went to a burger place. After eating super quick, we boarded the next flight. I slept through the entire flight just like the previous one. After deplaning, we went to collect our checked bags. 

We got them all, then headed outside to meet Miya's mom and load her car. We got everything loaded and were waiting for Carla and the firearm. We decided it would be better to head to the park while the luggage car waited for Carla. After some pretty bad traffic and a couple naps, we got back to the park! Parents started showing up, and we got one more photo of the kids with Julie and Carla before anyone left. I highly recommend going back and reading every day's blog, and reading more on our website about WHY we do what we do. I am so lucky to have had the chance to go on this trip, and I will remember it forever.
