Bye Lynn Lakers!

What’s up y'all, Tommy back here ready to tell the story of today! Sadly, I got to announce this, but the Baltimore crew is on our way back to Charm City! The trip was so much fun, and we don’t want it to end. After a night of tears from leaving our friends in Churchill, today was the first day in a long time without them. The train was completely packed when most of the group woke up. Some people went back to sleep, while others were sipping on the train coffee and talking about the moments that they had in the past 12 days. Today on the menu for breakfast was bagels from a bag, or Ramen Noodles! Personally, I love a cup of noodles bright and early. The train stopped to take a quick break for people to stretch. To everyone’s surprise on the train, there were cute little dogs on the street to greet us! 

 We are on the train for the morning, but then are going to have to say goodbye to our Lynn Lake friends as well.  We are all going to miss the great adventures that we had in Churchill. For the entire morning, we were traveling on the train until we stopped in Thompson, where it was time to say goodbye to our Lynn Lake friends. None of the Baltimore kids were ready for a second round of goodbyes because we all connected so well throughout the trip. After some tears were shared, the Baltimore group headed to Santa Maria Pizza to get some lunch.  I personally thought I could get through many slices like it was nothing, but dang, those pizzas were no joke. They were filled with all our favorite toppings: cheese, pepperoni, sausage, and even BBQ chicken. Before hopping back onto the train, the Lynn Lake crew surprised us with a pack of donuts for the trip! As people settled into the train by eating some slices of pizza, but mostly donuts, the train crew was back to the original one. 

The group hadn’t been this since the start of the travel trip; sadly, the feeling of the trip being over was trickling into the room. To kill some time on the train, I decided to take a snooze on the window, but then woke up to the train cafeteria staff handing out Oreos and hot chocolate like we didn’t have a lot of junk food on the trip already. Moments later, Ziva, Fletcher, and I talked for a while with some people who had been on the same train from Churchill as us. We were talking about what we just accomplished in our adventures, and they were telling us what they accomplished as well. After that, the Baltimore crew decided it was time for dinner! Half the group had some Mr. Noodles and the others dabbled on PBJ,  MRE’s, and leftover pizza. Overall, the group had a great day on the train, exchanging tears with our pals in Lynn Lake, but also creating great and funny memories on the train. Next stop, Winnipeg!
