Presentation Day!

Today we slept in an extra 15 minutes because we forgot an alarm. After getting changed, we ate hashbrown omelettes, which were delicious! We had a small meeting after breakfast about our field gear and talking about the day. Then we went on a half-hour car ride to our site of the day, which was just off the road. We collected data at C-06, which is an easier spot to probe and collect samples. We spent around an hour finishing the site, which is super fast for our group. The permafrost was super low into the earth, so most people were helping with probing. We were all so tired after. 

To start the afternoon off, we ate yummy mac n cheese! For dessert, they gave us each a big bowl of Neopolotin ice cream. Right after, we had to pack for the pool because we were all stinky and needed to shower. After everyone was refreshed and clean, we headed back to Camp Nanuq, where we did the first practice of our presentation. After that, we ate dinner, which was delicious burritos. Soon after that, we did our last practice for our presentation. 

Everyone was nervous as the audience started to trickle into the Lord’s Lodge where we held the presentation. All the Baltimore and the JCR kids did amazing while presenting, and we felt very rewarded after finishing it. We finished the day off by hanging out with the guests and eating s’mores!
